This won't take a long time because it needs to be presented next week.
Evaluation:
We finished our presentation by the end of this week. We completed what was needed to be done by the end of this week so you could say it was successful. However the feedback to the proposal presentation was negative because we were told there wasn't enough information, this is a button so you can look at my proposal and judge that. Next week we will need to think about booking a venue.

Evaluation:
This week was quite unsuccessful. We faced the problem not being able to use the Volks nightclub because of the age restriction that is only 18+. This restriction would mean I could not attend the event which is a problem because I need to go for my evaluation of the event. Our whole plan of this week was ruined because of this so we thought instead we would use the Latest music bar which we emailed and tried to sort the date for ASAP. This week put us back a bit which was quite stressful but we overcame it and used our back up plan which I am very glad we had.

What resources do you need?

Booking the venue: We have a meeting on the 10th of December with the owner of the latest music bar at 4:30. We will need our enquiries sorted and money for the booking. We also needed the internet to email the lady who owns the bar.

Sort decorations: Using amazon and fabric stores so money and the internet.
How much time will each task take?

Booking the venue: We wanted this sorted by the 3rd of December. We had issues like the Volks doesn't allow people under the age of 18 to attend and as I am 17 I wouldn't be able to go to my own event. Instead we resorted to the Latest Music Bar so things were delayed and won't be sorted until after the meeting.

Evaluation:
Overall during this week we sorted out our meeting with the Latest Music Bar and decided on the decorations. The decorations have to be fire retardant or sprayed with fire retardant spray so that the venue can allow them to be used. We just need to buy them. I would have sorted the DJs this week as well this week, but next week we will focus on that and creating a poster.

Meeting with LMB: Money for the train, questions and money to make the booking final.

Finalise DJs: We will need Ellie's connections and a way of contacting the DJs.

Create a poster: The website needed will be Canva, and once it's created we will need a printer and paper to print the posters on.
How much time will each task take?

Meeting with LMB: This is booked in for 4:30 on the 11.12.18. This took about 20 minutes, not a lot of time.

Finalise DJs: Not a lot of time at all, just messages back and forth.

Create a poster: Depends on how easy it is for us but maybe an hour or more.
Evaluation:
Overall this week was very successful. We put down a deposit of £100 (of the £200) for the latest music bar and that includes security so we no longer need to have 5 people over 40 years old to be there as 'responsible adults'. The meeting was very successful and the only thing Cathy requested was that people under the age of 18 do not sneak alcohol in and are respectful of the venue, security will help us make sure this happens. We also finalised 2 of our DJs this week, Archie Ramsay and George. We also discussed paying them in beers as this is our first event and we don't have money to give yet, hopefully with the money we make of this event we can pay bands and DJs in the future but at this point, it's just not possible. We started the poster but this task is not yet completed, it should be by next week.

Tickets: Cathy at LMB, and a finalisation of all details on the event

Finish the poster: It didn't take too long, I just had to add a couple of things and change the font and then it was ready.

Tickets: Should be done by the end of this week.
Evaluation:
This week we finished the tasks planned. I finally got the poster done which we then sent to Cathy (who works at LMB) with all the information about our event and she used all of the details to put the tickets on the website. It was a pretty easy job for Ellie and I as they put the tickets up so that they are advertised on the LMB website. This means we are all systems go from here and it's PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE! This is what the next weeks will include.

We finally got the tickets up however they're up dangerously close to the event, up none the less. It took since my last diary to get them up online. This is the link for the tickets: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/492258

Evaluation:
The new poster looks so much better than the old one. It's a lot more like other drum and bass event posters and just is a lot better than the first one. We researched about other posters and saw that ours was very plain and not very eye catching. In the end we decided to order tablecloths instead of fabric from a fabric store because you don't have to spray on the fire retardant spray. This ultimately will end up as cheaper. The DIY on Pinterest for these used tablecloths as well so it will hopefully work out as easier to do.
