MET FEST

Met Fest is an event that takes place across 3 weeks in the summer time. Various departments at Northbrook get involved with thing happening over the whole college. I have decided to use Studio 21 for my first role within MET FEST (see proposal for details on this)

The way I will be keeping on top of evaluations within this project is by doing weekly diaries and all my research will be put on a different page.

WEEKLY DIARIES

02.03.20

What tasks will you plan to do this week?

  1. Finalise the proposal

  2. Meet with students on the music course

What resources do you need?

  1. Wix and the proposal form

  2. Phil as he set up the meeting

How much time will each task take?

  1. Until the end of the week

  2. First meeting is an introduction so will be quick

Evaluation: I finished the proposal by the end of the week. In our class we each had a meeting with Terri Geal who has her fingers in a lot of helpful pies within the college. This meeting was helpful in understanding how achievable our project is and she gave us names of people we should to speak to in order for our projects to be successful. My project can be successful the only worry from Terri was the fact that I may rely on people on the art and design course for my project to work and be what I want it to be. However from my past experience in art and doing the decorations for my club night for project 2, If the design students aren't interested then I will attempt at making planets myself or I will contact my old out of school art tutor and see if she would be interested in helping me.

On Monday I met with 2 students from the music performance course (Lucas & Kyle) who are up for doing a performance in my space. They are making an ambient, spacey album for their Final Project which would suit my space perfectly. Instead of installing pressure pads and making the space interactive I will hold a gig in Studio 21. We have arranged another meeting for next week so we can discuss ideas and what Terri spoke to us about.
